PERFECT ADDITION"Flo the Coffee Van was the perfect addition to our merry band of Artists and Artisans at Grenaby Studios (Isle of Man Art Festival 2017). Flo was surrounded by fluttering bunting, and Annabel made streams of festival-goers very happy with tea, coffee and generous slices of her delicious homemade cakes that made us go weak at the knees! Went down a StormWe hired Flo for our staff family fun day at Silly Moos - their pulled pork baps, falafel burgers and cakes went down an absolute storm.  Flo The Coffee Van Named after Annabels Gran, Flo started life in Paris in 1968 as a horsebox. Christmas 2014 she was found in a barn in France & brought over to West Yorkshire, where Annabel & Stuart had her lovingly restored and converted into the Flo you see at events today. She rarely makes it above 30mph so you may see her out and about on the Islands roads, on her way to keep the next festival supplied with music, hot coffee & festival comfort food. |
 Annabel & Stuart Mr & Mrs Flo Mrs Flo, aka Annabel, grew up in N.I. where her Granny taught her to bake. Annabel worked the festival circuit in the 90's with the Tiny Tea Tent & an Indian Silver Stall before deciding to grow up & get a 'proper' career as a Food Technology Teacher. Fast Forward 20 years & back to her love & dream - working the IOM Festival / Events circuit. Mr Flo, aka Stuart, met Annabel while he was a budding, soon to be Famous DJ, in the 90s. There ended that dream & career for him but spent the next 15 years becoming a Father & trying to squeeze in DJing gigs & providing PA / Sound Systems inbetween sleepless nights & nappy changes. He's a complete hippy at heart & a wannabe Pirate. |
